Supermarket attitude shift, now like selling domestic products

Supermarket attitude shift, now like selling domestic products

I love shopping for the products that come from another country, and there are some reasons why I prefer goods from another country. The first one is their quality that their goods are made from good materials. For example, my cell phone, Nokia , came from Finland, and I never use the mobile phones produced in Thailand since their quality are so poor. Another reason is that products from another country are more popular than my country's products, and there are many well known cell phone's brand name selling in my country, such as Nokia, Sumsung, Lg etc. Nevertheless in Vietnam many supermarket attitude will change to sell their goods from international products to domestic products. There are three main reasons why I choose this news. To begin with, I want to know why they prefer to sell domestic
product since I am confident that goods from another country is better. Other reason is that this article is related to the business that I love to read, and it is so challenging that there are a lot of new vocabularies that I have never known them before.

In Vietnam, even though the supermarket had ever imported and sold the goods from another country, they would shift to sell domestic goods instead that Vietnam's good had reached 70-95 percent. Co
At Co-op Mart, 95 percent of food products and 90 percent of non-food products showed on the aisles were made in Vietnam. Dominated in the past was the foreign products, but domestic products had made strides what was Bui Hanh Thu who was the deputy director of Saigon Co-op. Moreover, he also said “Vietnam made goods are now dominating some categories of products,” Thu stated. “For example, 95 percent of ready-made clothes for children, plus young and middle-aged people now at Saigon Co-op are domestically-made products. Meanwhile, previously, 40 percent of the products were imports.” Big C informed that the structure of goods on display had changed since a lot of garment companies and workshops had turned to the domestic market. 95 percent of goods at the supermarket came from Vietnamese products while 40 percent of their total revenue came from those recognized said by Nguyen Xuan Hai, Director of Big C Vietnam.

Vietnam had taken the the home market due to upgraded quality, design and good prices so that domestic products could met variety consumer. For example, Boxes of crackers from both Thailand and Malaysia had been replaced with those from Kinh Do, Hai Ha and Bibica brands.
Recently, Big C met with some 100 small and medium producers in Nghe An province, in which it signed a contract committing to purchase 13 billion dong in products. In order to grow safe vegetables to meet VietGap standards, Saigon Co-op had gave 15 billion dong to the farmers.
Many retailers asked that producers should seek to keep their position on the market with high quality and reasonable prices. Hai noted that one of the biggest problems was bad logistics. The transport system forced frozen food prices higher that many producers were small scale, so they could not offer the best prices. Domestic producers reacted that supermarkets made it difficult to start their products to them. Since the display area has run out, all requirements set by one supermarket, but cannot gain space that what was a food company director complained about.

In my opinion, if they could really do it that Vietnam would be an affluent country because of the reason that they do not have to import the good from another country, so they could use the budget that they provided from selling their domestic goods to develop their goods and send to another country to sell and gain money from other counties. Another was to help domestic retailers and plants.

Shopping malls set to new brands HCM city, suburbs

Shopping malls set to new brands HCM city, suburbs

This news is about the business in Vietnam, and it is about opening the new malls in Vietnam. The reasons why I choose this news were that Vietnam is one of the successful countries because they have progressed a lot more than in the past in other word they develop so fast. Moreover, I am the one who loves to read the news about business since I will study about the business in the future, so this news is interested me.

In the suburbs in Vietnam, there was the new mall that would be opened around 2013, and it called Bitexoc financial tower that the project developers would race against the time to put the tower into operation before this October since it was now in the final stage. In addition, Capitaland Group Vietnam and RF Chandle had provided 14000 square metre to market. Moreover, they also speeded up their work in order to complete the vista project before the end of 2010. Furthermore, there were many shopping malls that would be opened in the future which they were Saigon M&C, Tan Phong Shopping Complex, Sunrise City, Metropolis, Sport City, Thao Dien Pearl, Saigon Pearl. However, most of them was opened in the suburbs.

However, most of the news shopping mall was in the suburban districts. Truong an Duong referred statistics which provided by the HCM City Statistics Office that since 2005, the total revenue of the retail market in HCM City had increased by 20 percent per annum, and the city’s retail revenue increased by nearly 35 percent in the first five months of 2010. Depending on the rapid growth of medium and upper classes in urban areas imposed development of the retail market said by Truong An Duong, Head of the Savills Analysis Division of HCM City Branch. Due to very few customers, the HCM City retail market unprofitable shopping malls in the suburbs. At worst, some kiosks had to temporarily close their market because there were no customers.

I think that this news was one of the good business news, and there are some reasons for that. Firstly, the Vietnam would have many malls for the shoppers who loved to shop in the suburbs people. Moreover, these malls would help Vietnam’s retailer to rent and sell their goods since nowadays, there are a lot of people who like to do the job this. Another was to demonstrate how development Vietnam had.

Vietnam forest fires rise sharply in drought

Vietnam forest fires rise sharply in drought

In my opinion, the most dangerous event that destroys the environment is drought, and I have three main reason for that. Firstly, I regularly read the news about drought in Thailand, and I realize how danger it was. Another was that it made farmers lost some money since they had to crop. The last was that it made environment getting worse. Therefore, I will summarize the news about the drought in Vietnam which results in forest fires.

In Hanoi, Drought-driven forest fires this year that already had consumed a greater area than before, 2008 or 2009 said by officials. Said by Do Thanh Hai, the fires had burned 1,600 hectares of forest this year. That area was more than 10 times the rate measured in the first two months of 2008 or 2009, which each saw just more than 140 hectares destroyed. He also said that from October to February, the fires on a drought had left Vietnam's north-western provinces with almost no rainfall. Moreover, he said "Such a long-lasting drought is somewhat strange and dry weather and high temperatures are coinciding with the time when farmers burn their fields to prepare for cultivation, which creates a serious risk of forest fires." In addition, Vietnam faced with a dry season in the north-west on November to February, and Central Highlands were drought during April to September, Related to a strong El Nino phenomenon, the most devastating weather that had ever happened in USA
. Vietnam's north had experienced drought this winter that was the warming of waters in the Pacific Ocean. Furthermore, the Red River in Hanoi was measured at its lowest level in more than 100 years.

This news was not really good news for Vietnam since the government should do something to stop the drought that will destroy their environment. Moreover, there were a couple of things I got after reading. One was the knowledge of drought in Vietnam because it told how danger the drought in Vietnam was, and the other was the knowledge El Nino phenomenon.

Said by Nguyen Huu Nghi that even though trained in Korea with Korean star training technology, the winner would be a Vietnamese cultural ambassador of Vietnam. 2009 sees “super” transport infrastructure projects

2009 sees “super” transport infrastructure projects

In Vietnam, their government had invested a lot in building a road for transportation. Moreover, last year, Vietnam was a year of the transport and communications.
This article demonstrated about how Vietnam improved its transportation, so I would like to summarize this news.

2009 was a record year for the transport and communications in Vietnam; they invested six projects at least of nearly 10 trillion VND (555 million USD).
Firstly, the Hanoi-Thai Nguyen highway cost 8.1 trillion VND (450 million USD) provided money by the Ministry of Transport and Communications. Secondly, both the Noi Bai-Lao Cai and Ho Chi Minh City-Long Thanh highways, the Vietnam Expressways Corporation spent 20 trillion VND to invest. Thirdly, the Trung Luong-My Thuan highway with 15 trillion VND (833.3 million USD) that Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) gave money to build. Fourthly, the Van Phong international transshipment port in the central province of Khanh Hoa, which coasted an estimated cost of 3.6 billion USD funded by the Vietnam National Shipping Line. The last one was Nhat Tan Bridge funded by Japan with an investment capital of over 13 trillion VND (757 million USD.

Vietnam had invested a lot, and I think that their country will provide more money to develop its transportation. If any countries help Vietnam by giving money to their government, Vietnam will develop faster and faster.
